GCSE Biology: Bioenergetics
Bioenergetics covers how organisms transfer energy: photosynthesis in plants and respiration in every living cell. It is a short topic but rich with calculations, graphs and required practicals that come up on both papers.
Photosynthesis is examined on the word equation, the symbol equation, the factors that affect rate (light intensity, CO₂ concentration, temperature, chlorophyll amount) and the inverse-square law for light intensity.
